What does the name Decarbeon mean?
Decarbeon comes from two ideas. 'Decarb' points to decarbonisation - the defining shift shaping the energy and industrial economies we work in. 'Eon' points to time: a long epoch, not a project cycle. Together they describe the work - decisions made today that hold across a much longer horizon than the quarter in which they are taken.
How is Decarbeon different from a management consultancy?
Large consulting firms are built to deliver analysis, recommendations and transformation programmes through teams of consultants. Decarbeon works differently.
Every engagement is led personally by Amin Aslam. There is no analyst layer, no lengthy discovery process and no recommendations handed over for someone else to implement. We work alongside CEOs and executive leadership teams to help make critical decisions, align organizations and sustain execution.
What does an engagement typically involve?
Every engagement begins with a confidential discovery conversation to understand the challenge, the context and the outcomes you are seeking.
Depending on your needs, this may lead to a focused advisory engagement, executive coaching for a transformation, governance design, strategic communications support or an ongoing retained advisory relationship. Every engagement is tailored to the situation rather than following a fixed consulting methodology.
Do you implement or only advise?
Both.
Some organizations engage us purely as a trusted executive advisor. Others require hands-on support to establish governance, align leadership teams, facilitate strategic planning, redesign operating models or maintain momentum during complex transformation programmes.
The objective is always the same: measurable progress, not simply recommendations.
How long do engagements usually last?
Every engagement is different.
Some involve a single strategic decision over several weeks. Others support leadership teams through multi-month transformation programmes or continue as retained executive advisory relationships.
The scope is determined by the complexity of the challenge rather than a predefined consulting package.
Is the work confidential?
Absolutely.
Confidentiality is fundamental to executive advisory. We do not disclose client names, commercially sensitive information or internal discussions without explicit permission. Many engagements remain entirely private, and published case studies are anonymized where appropriate.
Do you work outside the GCC?
Yes.
While Decarbeon is headquartered in Dubai and much of our work is across the GCC, we also support organizations internationally where our expertise in strategy, transformation, governance and executive advisory can create value.

We primarily work with medium to large organizations where strategic decisions have enterprise-wide impact.
